its not just the US unfortunately :(
The rescue centres are over -run in the UK too- there is no legislation to control back street breeders or unlicenced breeders . There are no controls over the breeding of unregistered dogs and there are GREEDY breeders who just breed for MONEY - who couldnt care less about any health problems the pups they breed may have - or care about where the pups are gong to and what sort of life they may have as long as these so called breeders are lining their pockets.
As long as there is no control ( and I fail to see HOW we can adequatley control it) then it will never stop until the day people stop being charmed by pups and therefore stop buying them .

If there was no market there would be no breeding :(
