Becks has been happy on Naturediet puppy for a couple of months now but the last two weeks or so he has not been very enthusiastic about eating it. Take this morning he was sitting waiting for his food and was excited when i went to put it down and then he sniffed it and walked away, he will eat it eventually but only when he is starving. I dont really want to change his food as he was doing really well on it but I dont want him starving either. He is not off food altogether, if you put down human food for him he cleans the bowl. Should I perserve?

Looks as though the dog is doing a beautiful job of training you about his diet requirements :D
This is how fussy dogs are created; they know that if they refuse to eat you will offer something even MORE yummy and hey presto within a few days you have a dog that won't eat! Dogs, like children, are great at manipulating their environment.
Offer the food, if it is not eaten within 10 minutes, remove and give NOTHING at all until the next meal. You will find that this sharpens the appetite quite a lot :D
These are animals that eat poo and rummage through dustbins after all ! :D

Some dogs do get fussy, no matter what you feed.
If you can switch to a different type of Naturediet (lamb to fish, for example) that might do the trick. I alternate between flavours with my dog.
I would pick up his food if he does not eat it in fifteen minutes and resist the temptation to give him people food. Dogs will not starve themselves.
My sister's dog will suddenly refuse to eat whatever brand of food he's been inhaling for months. If she switches brands, he goes back to eating again. Only to repeat the same thing with the new food several months later.

I will do as you suggest and see how he gets on. I do plan to change from the puppy to adult but not till Christmas as the recommended age is 5 months and I have loads of the puppy left! I am also going to stop giving leftovers. Although he will of course be tucking into turkey etc in a few weeks!

I don't remember Beck's breed, but for small breeds many will start cutting back on the quantity of food they want/need at about five-six months. It could also be a factor why he is turning his nose up at meal time.

I changed Buddy onto Naturediet lite some time ago and it sorted out his ongoing sloppy poo problem, however i've noticed since starting on the latest batch his motions are much softer again to the point of runny with mucus. I noticed the new batch had different coloured label but the ingredients listed are the same as before. I'm wondering if they've changed it in any way.
In fact i'll move onto feeding section and ask others.

I haven't noticed any changes in Becks's poo's but if you check out the nature diet website and email them they reply really quickly.

Hi Yes I have noticed the change in colour of the packets but the ingredients etc are excatly the same. I think the batches do change slighty dependant on the date it was made as it definately smells a lot more the fresher, not the right word but you know what I mean ! :) ! The sell by date is a lot less than normal processed food because of the way it is made. I should have a word with them if yiou have any concerns as they are very helpful !
Min has been OK on it a few sloppies but that is when she has had something as a treat e.g a chewie stick !
