at the kennels i work at, there is this bitch with pups, she is refusing to feed them, her belly is red raw (puppy scratches), the breeder is milking the bitch then giving to pups, but i was thinking would it be worth putting like a jumper on her body or something with holes for her teats, so she can feed pups without getting scratched?? anyone tried this?

p.s tried to contact kennels, no answer, left a message, just wondered what people thought.

The pups nails should be cut every few days to prevent this happening in the first place.  As for the sore spots, I found that good old vaseline would keep the area protected and from geting wet and sore.
