You can expect to pay about  £1,000  for a Bordeaux pup. This seems to be pretty average thoughout the country. I haven't seen any pups advertised for less than £900 recently, although there seems to be a trend for breeders to be asking more towards £1,200. Most charge the same for male or female. I am surprised that the breeders you have spoken to have not been willing to give you an idea of price. Most reputable breeders will obviously have many questions to ask you in order to ensure that they fell you are suitable to have a puppy.  After they have decided that a Bordeaux pup is the right dog for you, it is only reasonable that you have an idea of how much you will have to pay for one.
Is this your first dog? I only ask as they can be quite a stubborn breed and need a lot of input from an early age and are not generally recommended as a first breed. Try  to contact as many breeders as you can and see as many dogues as you can so that you get an idea what you're letting yourself in for. Make sure the breeder you choose does all the appropriate health checks etc. Best of luck in your search!

The price of a good bordeaux can be anything up to £2000, Alot of the good breeder are regularly taking there dogue's on to the continent and are regular winners, but make sure if you are looking for a good bordeaux that you go to a good breeder that will have health check stock, you want hip scores done and elbows x-rayed, eye tests done and heart testing, at the best the thyroid as well as there has been evidence of all of these problem with the breed. Please do not go to places such as loot and free ads, there are a lot of people out there that just see £££££ signs and do not have the welfare of the breed at heart and you will at the end of the day end up with large vet bills and heart break. I have one of the few Bordeaux in the country that has had all these health checks but I do not breed, there are only 64 bordeaux in the country at this present time that have been hip score that is out of about 2200 bordeaux. If you want information about the Dogue de Bordeaux Club of G.B. contact me at the email address in my profile and I will put you onto the chap that deals with membership and can give you a lot of information on the breed and of bordeaux meets where you will be able to speak to lots of people that have the wefare of the breed at heart, These dogue's are not for the novice dog owner and take a lot of time and handling as they do grow into a very powerfull dog. Any good breeder will let you visit there kennels a few times to make sure that this breed is suitable for you.
