Would it be considered 'safe' to let a puppy, who has only had her first injection, meet up with another puppy (8month old gsd) who is fully vaccinated and wormed.
My son wishes to visit for a day over christmas, but cannot leave his dog at home as he has not been able to get her a 'sitter',but I am not sure if the dogs should be allowed to meet, before our new puppy is fully vaccinated.
We both want what's best for the dogs, his dog is well socialised and gets on well with other dogs so no worries there,it is the health side of things which we are unclear about. He so rarely has time off work to visit,so we had hoped to meet up over christmas.

As long as yours sons Dog is vaccinated as you say then there is no problem at all. It is only when you are unsure if a dog has been vaccinated that your pup is at risk

Hope this helps and you can now enjoy christmas

All the Best

I would agree with Brinny - as long as your son's dog is fully fit, vaccinated and wormed, there should be no problem. I asked my vet this is similar circumstances some time ago (the only difference being that we and our dogs were visiting my mother and her new puppy!) and he confirmed that it was okay to do.

Have a good time with your family!
