Breeders can also buy at a reduced price. I now give a copy of the book to all new owners as I have found that people will always read a book.

Very well written and easy to understand - and brings up things I really wouldn't have considered like 'owning' dog toys so you're dog understands he only gets to play on your terms etc :)

Its a great book isnt it, I bought it for my parents when they first got their pup, its been really useful in teaching them the "new" way to train etc - they were slightly stuck in their ways, seeing as they hadnt had a pup for 17 years !!  Im halfway through reading the "Perfect Kitten" at the moment that is an equally great book (not much good if its a puppy you have got though :D :D )

You can't stress enough can you, I wish all puppy/dog owners had a copy, there's something for everyone to learn. I am going to get the kitten one too but I have got 'the perfect kitten' :D her names Velvet and she's a British Blue.

My kittens are pretty perfect too (until they decide to have a mad five minutes round the bedroom at 4am )  They are Tonkinese X and they are called Tarquin and Delilah :D  :D
