Hello All
My boy Staff is now 7.5 months old, and over the weekend he has been quite sneezey and yesterday he had the runs and only a mouthful of lunch, I phoned the vet and they said not to feed him for 24 hrs and see how his poo is. We did this and he has had a solid poo and we have given him his first meal for 24 hrs, but he has only eaten half of it. Could e have a common cold, or do you think it is a bit more serious? if it is a common cold is there anything we can do to?
Appreciate your advice! ;-)

Dogs don't get common colds they get kennel cough. Are you able to take his temperature, if it is high then I would see the vet. Any way with a pup if he is off colour for 48 hours I would visit the vet, but I'm a born worrier particularly with other peoples dogs.

I am a bit of a worrier too; I think I have a hot line with the vets ever since we got him. I think I will call them in the morning.
He has a wet nose, his eyes ar bright and clear, his coat is very shiney and he is his normal bouncy self - it's just his sneezes (which are not constant) and this is the first time he has had loose poo. I have been told it is quite common for pups tummies to be sensitive everynow and again.
Thanks.

Well I am not a vet nor can I see your pup but I would think that the two things are not connected. Think he has kennel cough though so tell the vets he is coughing and don't take him into the waiting room, ask them what you should do, they may see him in the car or take you straight into a consulting room.

Gus is 13 months and has been sneezey of late with a running nose . He was put onto antibiotics which seemed to lessen it but it seems to be coming back again . He s now back on the antibiotics :(
Let me know what the vet says to you

He's been checked out and is all OK now! :-) The sneezing stopped yesterday, and his toilet is back to normal and so is his eating! So good news all round, and thankfully no antibiotics from the vet. Whatever it was he is over it (of course he was seeing as I took him to the vets!)
Thanks everyone for advice etc.....I don't know what I would do without ChampDogs!

:( Poor Gus. Hope he's feeling better soon.
I'm hiding Sam's antibiotics in cocktail sausages so I think she's actually enjoying them ;)
