Hi all
I have a 4 month old Lurcher pup who is healthy/fit but the last few days I have noticed a yellow/green puss at the tip of his pen*s, any ideas?

I've never seen a yellowy-green cat, especially attached to a dog's *** - can you take a photo for us :D

I think a small discharge is usual and is normally cleaned up by the dog when he washes himself, if it becomes excessive then have a word with your vet

Have to say that , whilst I knew it was just a spelling mistake (and we ALL make them) , my 22 year old and me were wetting ourselves laughing at the thought of that poor dog with a gangrenous cat attached to his private parts :D :D :p

Oohps ment to say pus as in purulent, not thick just can't spell,at least it caught your attention.

:D Now I have recover myself enough to answer, yes it is normal it is not pus but excess seamen once the dog is adult it slows up. Different dogs overflow at a different rate, most will keep up with the cleaning up but a few are very bad, I had one who used to drip on your feet, very worrying when you had visitors but it stopped once he was adult.

lol!  is that men that swim in the sea or ex England (now Man City) goalkeepers????  Fortunately I have never known my dog to "overflow"!!

OMG, Can't anyone help this poor dog?
Not only has he got a gangrenous cat on his p****s, now he's got unemployed sailors AND a goalkeeper stuck to it as well!!
Why don't they have spellcheck on this forum??? (cos we'd lose a lot of laughs probably) :D :D :D

I noticed this alot when Buddy was a pup. He often left little tell tale creamy spots on any dark clothes i wore. Men.

When I took Willarse for his second jabs, he was sitting on the leather seat in the vets, next to me, so as to keep him away from other dogs, when I looked down to see a green droplet just about to fall... no tissues, no hankies, and a full vets He kept trying to get on my lap - er, no!! - and after the longest 5 minutes of my life it fell off and slapped onto the seat I had to leave it there..... ;)

It is not often I laugh out loud when reading email/forums but this thread has managed it - pity we don't have a cartoonist who could illustrate it!!
