I purchased a beautiful black female shepard from a breed in Washington State. She will be 4 months old on Dec. 6th. Everything is terrific except her ears. She looks like she just got out of a wind tunnel with both ears going left. The right ear on top of her head and the left one, down and to the left also. Am I overanzious that her ears will not stand as they should or do I have to settle for a wonderful pup with goofy ears?

I believe GSD's ears go through some funny stages as a puppy, especially when they are teething. Can you ask your breeder, she would be the best person to advise you.

There are some GSD people on this board, hopefully they might be on later to advise you. I wouldn't worry too much, most breeds with ears that eventually are erect or semi erect go through the floppy stage.

Regards

Her ears will go every which way whilst she has finished teething don,t worry once that is finished the chances they will go up and stay up, I personally love that stage of a shepherd puppy i used to love watching my lots ears and all the various positions they got into , enjoy your baby as they don,t stay that way for very long.
