It's been mentioned here before, and I'm sure it was John, who reccommended 5 mins for every month of the dogs age. So you may be over-doing it a bit.
I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong :)

Sounds a bit too much to me. Can you do some training with her instead. At eighteen weeks she should be starting to learn sits, downs and recalls. It doesn't have to be too formal, teach her some tricks too, shake a paw, roll over that type of thing.

I guarantee she will be more tired from doing this then going out for walks and you will benifit from starting her training early. Mental stimulation will have a more positive effect then physical at this age.

Good Luck

hi sandra i do train her in the house and she also goes to puppy class twice a week should i cut down the walks and consentrate on training in the house and at what age do you think i should take her out for extra exercise

I would up the training rather then the walks. It depends a lot on what type of excercise she is getting. That much roadwork or free mad running is not good. If you feel she needs to get outside the house you could pop her in the car and take her to a quiet spot somewhere and do some training, I would like to be building the bond between us at that age.

My dog as a pup was so worn out after training sessions, it's the concentration that seems to tire them. Even now she settles much better after we have done some training compared to twice the time spent running free. Don't go on for ages with her training at that age, short concentrated bursts are best or they will switch off.
