This is a long shot but could anyone give me any input about the following,Thursday we took our 9year old foster lab for her jabs she saw a expieneced lab vet and seemed to be over her little coughthat she had when we picked her up from kennels two weeeks previous, Fri night we noticed a small droplet of blood and sure enough it looked as she had starded her season, swelling etc coincidence ?any way today we have just noticed a lump that is visible and qiet hard to the touch on her right side approx around the kidney area, the thing is that she had a operation just over a month ago for the removal of two mast cell tumours, one around the mamary gland area and one on the rear of her back leg so i fear the worst, we will take her straight to the vets tomorrow i just wondered if anyone had any thoughts.although we've only had her a couple of weeks we have al fallen for her big time, and she is very very sprightly for a nine year old in fact my three year old lab seems geriatric in comparison

Hi,
Possibly the cancer come back??.My bitch had most of a mast cell tumor removed from lower leg,we were told high chance of it comming back, the only chance we have been given is radiation therapy at Cambridge Uni (CAMVET).Although other options were of no use for Amber. You could ask your vet to contact them for advice it is the best in Europe.
So sorry to hear this news.I wish you hopeful news from your vets, all the best.

Hi D/Bee, don`t really know sorry. But it seems likes she`s been thru a lot in the past 4wks, major surgery, a new home & a little cough too much for her to have coped with boosters on top. They could have brought on the lump, for sure her immune system wasn`t on top form so who knows? I only know that healthy dogs should receive vacc/boosters.
One of my girls had emergency surgery a little while ago & she was just coming into heat but the op stopped it so don`t know about either, mention it to your vet as well.
Hope things work out for her. :)

just thought i'd let you know that he vet is slightly puzzled about dix's lump as he ssaid it feels boney,he hopes that maybe she might of knocked it when playing, but suspects she may need a x-ray to be sure excatly what is going on,she still seems sprightly so thats good news
Let just cross fingers!
