Sorry LJS, I'm picking on you because I know you've recently had a new addition. :D
A close friend of mine is about to have her second baby (a boy this time) and I wanted to think of a nice gift that would be useful to her in her 'condition'. I'm thinking beauty-type related, or body care perhaps - that sort of thing. What comes in handy for new mums? Or is there something else that might be more useful?
Thanks in anticipation!

What comes in handy for a new mum, let me see......oh yes a Nanny :D :D
If it is a pressie for her then get her something that will make her feel like a woman and not a baby making machine :D
Maybe a voucher for an afternoon's pampering at a beauty salon with a voucher for babysitting duties for the aftermoon so she can go and spend an afternoon on her own :D
Really just something to give her a bit of a boost as she will be feeling knackered and that will really make a difference ;)

Mine is now 4 years old, but what I would have really liked was some Body Shop stuff, like Shea Butter or Mango body lotion, or Peppermint foot lotion. Something to make yourself feel, as Lucy says, like a woman not a baby machine.
As she will be feeling totally knackered and rumpled a voucher for a massage would also be rather nice (and you babysit whilst she has it!!) :D

Great ideas, thanks everyone! Might get her a reflexology voucher and some nice body moisturizers ... can't babysit unfortunately as we both live at opposite ends of the country.
Thanks
Jo
