Buying a puppy as a present is a really bad idea. Does your wife know about this? Do you have any experience of Airedales? They are a lovely breed, but not the easiest to train, especially as youngsters.
Look here on Champdogs. If you do go ahead, please make sure you buy from a reputable breeder.
