Hi guys.
As many of you know, I have a6 1/2 month old lab pup, Kester. At his 6 month check-up a few weeks ago, my vet remarked on the fact that Kesters upper canines (the big ones!) had come through without pushing out the baby teeth roots. He suggested that if they hadn't come out in another month, I should have them taken out as they might stop the adult canines from 'moving' into the correct position. I have checked with my insurance and this wouldn't be covered by them, which I half expected, so I'll have to pay the whole amount. I'm not bothered by this, but just wondered what you guys thought? I've had a good feel of the roots and they feel absolutely rock hard (just my luck).
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
P.S. Although this would be a general aneasthetic (yes, I know I can't spell!), my vet has always given me great advice, not always just the most expensive suggestion, so I'm not suggesting that what he says isn't right.
