Hi can anyone give me a little advice? I have a Male Chocolate Lab aged 11 months and we have been having some behaviour problems! having toilet trained him once he now seems to decide to pee in the house whenever he fancies, even when he has gone to the door and been let out for a pee only 5 or 10 minutes before!! It is not excitement as it is random and we have tried to re train him by praising when he does go outside and then telling him off when he goes inside. He seems to know what he is doing! He is also chewing the walls whenever he is left alone even foe five minutes in the kitchen! HELP ME!
Ok just a few ideas - being an adolescent it may be that his toilet training has gone out of the window, you may have to almost go back to basics. Reward with a food treat when he goes outside, that may encourage him to go out there.
Make sure you avoid disinfectant etc when cleaning, as it contains ammonia and may be attractive to dogs ..... use a bio washing powder solution or a brand suuitable for cleaning after dogs :)
Use an off-putting scent/taste on your walls - clove oil, vicks, or something from the pet shop. Give him a stuffed kong (labs should like this) and get him out of the actual habit. If he is doing it as soon as you leave him, it may be for attention so try not to let him think you are coming back because he is chewing.
Good new is - it won't always be like this, maybe consider getting a copy of The Perfect Puppy which goes into adolescence and so on.
Have fun

Well done lindsay. I think it sounds like naughty adolescent boy behaviour, perhaps he thinks he may get to use his penis soon :D but if that is not 'Your' intention you may need to consider castration if he is 'marking' (if the wee very pungent and not just normal puddles)
I think everyone should have a copy of 'The Perfect Puppy'

He could also be suffering from a urinary tract infection - best to get this checked out with the vet (you'll need to take a sample of urine in a clean bottle for the vet to test)
