Just out of interest why do you want a cross? what is wrong with a lab or a retriever? I know guide dogs breed a lab retriever cross but I am not entirely sure why??

The reason Guide Dogs do this cross is because it makes an excellent working dog.This cross has been used for many years & with the very controlled breeding programme that Guide Dogs have, they are able to breed these dogs & have a unique "type" of lab x GR.

I agree that for a pet dog, why not just choose a lab or a GR?
