Now here's where perhaps some of the regulars might just agree with a tincy wincy bit !?!

I would suggest that it would be better now to wait until after christmas to purchase your puppy, unless you are really experienced and well used to puppies and you have a house nameplate which reads ' Bedlam ' ! You may be very experienced, in which case that's probably fine - but I've been keeping dogs for years and years and I wouldn't have a puppy this close to christmas - I'd be banging my head against the wall by boxing day ! Indeed, most reputable breeders would not sell puppies this close to christmas I wouldn't have thought ( well I wouldn't )....it depends on how quiet your christmasses are I suppose - if it's just two people who have as much time as any other time - then yes go ahead....but if you have kids, other pets adn visiting families friends over the christmas period I'm not entirely sure whether it would be such a good idea.....I expect other posters will have some views.

Hi Norm - scary - but yes - I think most would agree with you. Careful or you'll start to get a reputation :-)

I wouldn't have a new pup at Christmas either - as tempting as it may be - our house IS bedlam - so unfair for a new pup. Would probably end up wanting to be the fairy on the top of the tree - lol

regards

I think any reputable breeder probably would not sell you a puppy at Christmas time, I know a pup makes a great present but there are just too many people who are bored with their 'presents' by February.
Do you want a K.C registered beardie that you can possibly show, or one from working lines?
