hi, i have been reading the threads/topics on here and the advice thats been given i see in most cases is sound, good advice.
but some of the threads where i see some genuine people have asked for advice on breeding----- some of the comments i am truly gobsmaked at----now i am a breeder and have done extremely well in the showring with my chosen breed----and i feel that some of the people on here are asking perfectly innocent questions because they are wishing to gain knowledge about certain things that they just dont know about---they are our future generation----if we cant pass on some of the knowledge we have---who are we going to pass our knowledge onto?---where would that leave our breeds?
i am all for people making such queries---else how are they going to learn?---but there are such thing as manners---and answering things in such a way where peoples feeling are not damaged---we are all human beings and we should treat each other with some respect----i am not better or no worse than the next person and so on--- i am all for some healthy competition in the showring---who knows--some of these very people asking questions here could well be capable of producing some champions in the breed they chose to show/own/breed---so we should be giving them all they advice they need---instead of dont do it---you are making a big mistake---they are going to do it anyway----so a little more compassion with some of the people here asking these questions---i am sure would not go a miss---and the more compassion shown towards some of the people here would do wonders, instead of making them more determined to go ahead and do the things that they are told not to.
Tony.
