Is it normal for the area around the incision/stitches to be puffy? It appears as though fluid is collecting under the skin...but I'm not a doctor, I don't know what it is.

I would hope the wound would be clean and dry. Any sign of redness/puffiness may indicate an infection brewing. I would phone the vet for advice.

She might have a bit of an infection, I would take her to the vet. The area around the stitches might look a little pink, but not puffy or red.
