Hi Everyone,

My Husky bitch has pneumonia for the 2nd time this year. Apart from the treatment which she's receiving from the vet, is there anything i can do to help her? Maybe a supplement to strengthen her immune system or something?

She'll be 2 years old tomorrow and has been ill on and off since this time last year when she contracted kennel cough.

I hate to see her looking so miserable - if anyone can suggest something to build her up/make her more comfortable, i'd be very grateful.

Thanks,
Karen Hardy

Just looked up holistic treatments/supplements in Richard Allports book & he suggests Vitamin E in the form of Wheatgerm oil capsules 25 international units per 5 kilos body weight

Hi, Echinacea made from the whole plant, is an excellent immune booster, buffered Vit C, start off with 500gr & slowly work up to 1500gr, if she gets diarrhoea then go down to a lower amount & it will stop. A clove of crushed garlic daily with her food or if you prefer you can give it in tablet form. Honey is good as well so is pollen, a teaspoonful over her food, you can get that from a health shop.
Hope she gets better soon.

Christine, Spain.
