Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Nutro Choice???
- By kayl [gb] Date 13.11.03 00:29 UTC
I wanted to change feeding to a complete, my local pet shop recomended Nutro choice, I had never heard of it before but thought I would give it a try, they also said that lots of people have been changing over to it lately.
I tried it today but she hasn't touched it. I usually feed her price choice raw meat and biscuits but she doesn't seem to be eating that either lately, having said that she is a bit of a fussy eater, and thinking about it if she goes the same amount of months as she did last time she is due in season in the next few weeks, and she didn't eat much last time before she was due.
Shes a 14 month old GSD.
Should I continue trying with the Nutro?
Has anyone heard of it or use it?
Any info would be great. Also whats the best way of changing a food should I of done it gradually?
Thanks
K

Any change of feeding should be done gradually. GSD's especially are known for sensitive digestion, amny doing better on Gluten/wheat free diets. I am sure Nirto has one to suit, but yoiu need to introduce it little by little.

give her 3/4 of her normal feed with a 1/4 ration of the new for a day or two, and graadullay increase the new and reduce the old.

Why are you changing her food, was she in poor conditon on what she had. It is usualy far harder to change a dog used to getting meat to a dry food than the other way around.

I feed the nutro lamb and rice and my dogs love it.

Nutro natural choice

Do what works best for your dog but I do prefer it to Iam/Eukanuba, Prina, science diet and alot of the others that are out there.

I heard chicken soup for the soul is good but they don't offer it here :(
