Unfortunately, due to a change in personal circumstances, we have to find a new home for our 2 male English Springer Spaniels Ben and Sam. They are 15 months old and very loving and affectionate.
We have contacted the usual rehoming centres but they cannot guarantee that they will be rehomed together and we desperately do not want to seperate them as they have always been together.
They get on well with cats and children and are pets rather than working dogs. If you can help in any way we'd love to hear from you - we would feel so much better knowing they had gone to a good home together rather than be separated in a rescue centre.

I'm just wondering if you have completely ruled out that they could be worked and be companions (best of both worlds in my book)? I may know of someone who might take on the right dogs, or alternatively - could they be trained as sniffer dogs or search and rescue dogs, or Hearing Dogs for Deaf people - they could easily be interested. I could give you the addresses of these of these organisations if you e-mail me.

Give me a phone call on 01925 211411 .... I may have some contacts. However as someone in rescue I can tell you that it will take longer to find them a home together than to separate ... and we as humans have to try not to impose our emotions on the dogs. The majority of dogs will cope well with whatever changes they meet. The kennels which I use for my rescue also board for English Springer Spaniel Rescue and I can talk to people there about the possibilities if you phone.

Have you contacted their breeder? As a breeder myself I would be most upset if someone rehomed a puppy I bred without telling me. the breeder is often better placed to help home a dog they have bred, as they may well have enquiries from people who have lost a dog and would rather have an older dog. Also there is usually a good grapevine among breed club members/breeders and the dogs are likely to be placed with known experienced people.
