Hi,
I have a 6 month old male staff who is fully house trained in doors however he sleeps in the leanto and night and during the day with light, eat etc fully enclosed with access to the garden 24/7 however he has just decided instead of going outside to do his business he will do it in the leanto more so if its cold or wet outside. Any offers on what I can do to stop this.
Many Thanks

Hi NikiH
I have a 6mth old male Staff and last week he started to do exactly the same. I think it is due to the weather. I have gone back to basics (good advice I received!) and it is working. I am taking him out on an hourly basis and giving him a treat when he goes outside. Sometimes he just stands by the door, but I nudge him out saying "go wee wee" which is the phrase we have said ever since he was tiny. We are starting to get there after a couple of days, and we have no wees inside yesterday and only one on route to the door - I think he left it too long to make it. Hope this helps ;-)

Hi Bobbysmum,
Murphy is fine in the house but its the leanto where their bed is that he is weeing in etc, they are in the house when we are in but when we go to bed or go out I put them in the leanto which is dry, warm and access to the garden 24/7 he is just being lazy because he is doing it about a 1ft away from the door in the same place.
