I have a 3 yr. old golden lab mix, alomots 80 lbs. She has always scratched herself alot, and seems to be really itchy. Vets have told us that dry skin is a trait of that color lab. We have tried flax oil, specail shampoo, adding oil/grease gets brushed regulalry. Her skin does sometimes feel dry, but there are no other symptons.

Homeopathic Sulphur is excellent for itchy skin. :)

It may be that it could be an alergy to something in the food . My bulldog was always prone to sore skin and hotspots until I removed the wheat gluten out of his diet and fed him a hypoallerenic one instead- maybe give this a try and see if it works?
