We are going to LKA both days but we are not showing, just meeting up with friends from abroad, Could you give me some idea of how much it will cost for admittance and car parking fees, and would I have to apply for disabled parking before hand. This is the first time I have gone to a Cham. show as a spectator

OOOOOO! Not cheap I'm affraid! The Nec charge £6 per day car parking and then you need to pay to get in to the show at £4 per adult! I do love the LKA show, but the prices to park and get in are no joke.

I always go by train as it's sooo easy for spectators (providing you have easy access to a station at the start of your journey). You have to alight at Birmingham International Airport and it's a short walk from the station along an indoor concourse and into the NEC Halls. You don't even have to go outside. However this doesn't help the original poster, who may not have any choice but to arrive by car. Just wanted to point out a good alternative for others who may read this. :-)

Don't forget to take your own food,as well, prices are very expensive.

If you are registered disabled(or have a disabled passenger), and you have the relevant documents, you should be able to park for free. the nec have a website, http://www.necgroup.co.uk you may find the relevant info on there. If in doubt, ring them.The standard car parks are expensive and you have to get a free shuttle bus to them. A word of warning.....do not attempt to use the disabled facilities without a relevant disabled sticker....they are VERY strict on this (and rightly so).

I'm sure that disabled parking is free, yep, if my mind serves me right it was this year.

Unfortunately won't be at LKA for the first time in years as I'll be in not so sunny Spain!!! Again, I know, I'm so greedy, twice in less than a month:d

Thank you very much I will ring and find out details for definate before we go, we do have the blue badge and the free tax disc, looking forward to a show that we are not showing at, it will give us a chance for a good look round without haveing to take the dog or ask someone to look after them on the benches.
