How can I stop my dog from pulling on the lead. I have tried
a check chain, & it stops her for a second, & then she's pulling for
england again. Other than that she's a very dog. None of the family
will take her out for a walk except me. She's 3 years old, where
am I going wrong. Jill.

Have you tried teaching her to walk to heel as opposed to using different equipment (ie check chain, harness etc)

Try this [link http://www.champdogsforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/board/topic_show.pl?tid=18603&hilite=Heelwork#137226]thread [/link].

Teaching a dog to walk nicely at heel is very hard work but so very rewarding - your whole family will probably have to learn as well or she could walk nicely for you but not for anyone else

Good luck
