One of mine has spent the last week in the vets and the other two havent show the slightest bit of interest when you mention her name, and I thought they where all close, do they adapt that easily to losing one of the pack?

I think it may depend on the dogs. I no when Cuervo passed away taz missed her alot, he would lay and whine, howl for all long time and he kept going to the kennel in the back looking for her. I think he got depressed and he went off his food for awhile. When taz went in to get fixed Cuervo didn't seem to care, but when she went into be fixed he sulked and went off food till she came home.It took abit for him to come around again after she was gone, but now he's fine. Even now if you say her name he looks around and gets all happy so we no longer say her name around him any more....I'm sure they no...He lived with her for almost 9 years.

I thought I was going to loose Khan when Chang died.He would not eat lost all interest in life and just wanted to go to bed.
I searched everywhere for a pup I would have paid anything or travelled anywhere.I found Ling down in Wales. We saw her at 4 weeks and went for her at 6 week.I do honestly think she saved his life.

Dollface and Chow, your stories are so sad........, those poor dogs missing their friends. My heart would break seeing my dog behaving that way, looking for their friend when they have passed on. Hope they are much happier now.
