It has been said that black cat dander is worse for cat allergy sufferers than say ginger tabby. Does this hold true for dogs? Are some coat colours more likely to cause an allergic reaction than others?

I have only had a reaction to certain dogs rather than whole breeds but it is predominantly bichons that cause me problems. (so that puts the hypoallergenic dog theory up the spout!) however I also own 5 predominantly white dogs so it cant be colour based!
