Hi Melody, we dont have much in the way of health tests for pugs:). The only major problem is hemivertibrae, which is done under X ray, but is a private record not KC reportable. Because of the dangers to Pugs under Xray (along with lots of other short nosed breeds) a lot of breeders only have the x ray done when an X ray is needed for another purpose. Anyone really concerned about this condition can discuss it with the breed club, or with Eike Herrolds partner Dr ? (forgotten his name) who recently was doing some research on the problem.
