I really don't think pot will help your doggy. I think it helps more for sore muscles and loss of appitite. When people are high it helps to relax the muscles and also gives them the munchies. Helps great for people with cancer as well as alot of other things like MS and Fibromialga -FM, and Aids ( I have a friend with MS and a nother with FM). I think people that have trouble eating this may help alot. Who are we to say they can't have this nature's gift if it makes them feel better, who are we to deny them happiness and free of pain. :( Maybe do some checking on the net to see what they may offer for dogs who knows maybe it might work. You basically would want the relaxing feeling without the high like a tea or eating it. Then you would want to be careful with the hairs not sure if that would hurt the tummy or not.

As for people ending up on coke or herion is more then likely because they go to their dealer to get pot and they don't have any and all they have or all they can find is the harder drugs so they take that and wella addicted to herion, crack, coke ect. Cops should crack down on the hard drug dealers not the soft drugs I think thats why so many people may turn to the hard drugs is because they can't find the soft ones.

Hi Dolface, anything that helps our dogs, needs to be condsidered, at least Cannabis is a natural product, whereas at the moment my dog is on chemical drugs... great if they work, but I know which I would prefer.
It was a shame the post referring to this got a little out of hand last night (and I put my hand up to adding my bit too), but it seems well worth considering, with your Vets approval.

Please can we keep this subject on the benefits and/or disadvantages of the cannabis for the treatment of animals. We are all aware of the abuse issues surrounding this substance. Cannabis has been proved useful in the treatment of human beings so why not animals too?
