Hi -

I just thought I'd introduce myself to the forum as I am a new member.

I collected my first puppy, Kobi, yesterday (a black labrador) ... although he is not my first dog, he is the first I have had from so young. He has settled in really well and is really confident. He cried for an hour yesterday evening at bedtime (before sleeping right through) and about 40 minutes today, so I am hoping that night times aren't going to be too much of an issue! He loves toes and is chewing absolutely everything he can get hold of, but is already quite receptive to a stern No. He has also already mastered doing his business on a sheet of newspaper in his playpen - not one accident yet, which is excellent! Once he is going through the night without relieving himself, I'll start with making him go outside.

I look forward to trawling through the archives for information and tips from you all and I'm sure I'll be asking all of your advice before long!

Hi Darren, welcome! There are lots of labrador folk on here (and I used to have one - a black one too, what good taste you have!), so you'll have plenty of knowledgeable advisors!

Hi Darren, i have a great dane called Dolly.

Unfortunately our dog howled most of the night and i caved in, so i have a 9stone lump sprawled out on my bed.
