Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Rottweiller question:

Our 5 month Rotty has been limping on her front legs, on and off, for the past couple of weeks. I have thoroughly checked her paws (well as thoroughly as one can when the dog is struggling so much) and can find nothing wrong there...no marks on her pads and no signs of any thing being stuck into in between the claws. Today her limp has worsened and she now hold her paw up to me when she is standing still. What could be the problem.

I am taking her to the vets first thing in the morning to get her checked out but if any comments could be made before then they would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Welcome to the forum.

The problem might not necessarily be with her paw. It could be her leg, her shoulder, back or even another leg all together :-) Do you exercise her alot? Is it possible that she could have knocked herself playing? It could be any number of things really :-(
Not very helpful, sorry!
Let us know what the Vet says, and try not to worry. It's probably something quite straight forward. Fingers crossed.

Leigh
