I am delighted to report that Purdey Pup is back home where she belongs - queening it in the middle of her adoring family!
She is wearing a rather fetching skull-cap looking bandage. Nick - who knows all these things - tells us that she has told the others that she has been having a try-out for the All Blacks :D :D :D!
Vinnie, who's turn it is in the sitting room with Purdey - is "sealing" all over the place to her - belly almost lower than ground level, licking her muzzle, & giving her loads of kisses!
The fun will start tomorrow when we remove the bandage & put on the Buster collar - and then try & get drops into both her ears - omg - it's bad enough doing that with the cats.
Douglas, our vet, is very pleased with her - he has suggested that we try her on Rymadol (sp??) - would be glad of any input & other peoples thoughts on this....
A very happy & relieved Margot (who still doesn't know how much this will cost - but it would be worth it were it to cost twice whatever it does to have Purdey with us)!

It's just so good to have her back with us - even though we know that it might not be for long - she's "grinning" again - and this morning on the walk, it was good to see how all the others went up to her, very deferentially - she is still Alpha dog in our pack - gave her licks on her muzzle, licked the good ear - and Vinnie was almost shoulder to shoulder with her for most of the walk - she only ran off & had a couple of bundles with Beau - well out of Purdey's reach!
Purdey still managed to have a "roll" in her favourite mud splash!
The bandage will come off this afternoon - then the fun will begin with the buster collar - she will be even more like a tank than she is most of the time!
Thanks for all the good wishes - we all appreciate them!
Regards
Margot
