My four month old puppy tripped me and I unfortunately fell on her back paw. she is able to stand and walk, but favours that sore paw. Can anyone advise me? My husband and I intend to take her to the Vet tomorrow if she is still favouring that paw.
I feel awful. She is her usual playful self--with and excellent appetite, but is somewhat quieter this evening.
If anyone can advise, I would be very grateful.
Thanks

hi penny, it may be just bruised and very tender, but i would get it checked just incase.

Oh dear, it is horrid if you do something like that, there may well be no harm done and even if there is it will mend. Does it look swollen at all? If in doubt take to the vets it will make you feel better anyway.

Just reminded me the other week our dog who is a right nosey thing, was behind my husband when he shut the toilet door and he trapped her big ear in the door.
These things happen, i'm sure it will be fine....

I trapped my boy's paw when opening a door. He seemed OK after it but in the morning he wouldn't put any pressure on it and held it up all of the time. Took him to the vet and she gave him some anti inflams and told me to let him rest (rest that's a joke - he was just as lively on 3 legs). The following day it was OK.
