Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Pups have arrived

My long awaited pups have arrived at last and they are absolutely beautiful. My Jess did not come into season on her normal 7 monthly cycle but came in over two months later than I had expected and would you believe it she had all boys! I feel absolutely awful as I had a lady waiting abroad for a bitch for a year and I had to tell her yesterday that I only had boys. If and it is a big IF we breed again I am not going to have a waiting list unless they want either sex not one specific one. How do you all cope when you have people waiting and nature does not give you what you would like. I am also upset for myself as I also had intended on keeping a bitch from this litter for myself to show.

congratulations!!! i've never had a problem, but it is nature you can't pick what sex you want your dog to have. i usually wait until they are born then advertise, but this time all my pups were booked and just lukely it was people had booked, maybe you could see if another breeder has alitter of pups the same and put her in touch with them. what breed was your pups.
