I have just had a letter asking if I want to become a panel member. Basically they give you a scanner for you to scan all the food items you buy. They then collect all the info from a base unit connected to your phone, at no expense to me. Info is analyse and supposedly passed on to manufacturers etc so consumer hets a better deal in the long run. If you are a member you get reward points each month which can be redeemed from a gift catalogue. They guarantee never to pass on your name to others.
Does anyone know anything about Fact Finders.
thanks

We were on the tv ratings pannel for two years and the payback for the hastle was very low albeit we had store vouchers not a gift cataloge. Our phone was connected to a base unit and info was transmitted via the phone overnight. It took half a day to install and they were always phoning to update or replace something .These companies sell the data on, but my name was never sold as i was suspicious of this and dropped the s on my surname.Scanning food what a chore does this include all the bits and bobs during the week ? god how do you scan a leg of lamb from the butchers? Interesting i would have thought in the day of the nectar card this info was already avaiable.

Thanks for that. I did a search on google and some people had posted quite positive feedback. I will dig a bit deeper before I decide:)
