I`m so angry! Spain has closed the border at Gibraltar, hubbies had to come he can`t get to the office & his car was due in at 10am for it`s MOT. Not a big problem for us really but for all the folks who work in Gib & kids going to school, ill people going to hospital & thats both ways because people with heart & kidney or cancer probs go for treatment in Spain. They say they`re democratic???? & abide by European laws, thats a joke! Can`t print what I really think of the goverment & it`s politicians it`d be deleted.
Once again ordinary people are left to suffer from their actions!!!!

No help to you but it's because of this cruise ship with the bug/virus whatever. I've just been listening to it on TV. Never thought how it would be a blooming pest to folk out there.

It is a stomach bug and therefore will only be passed on by contact by not washing your hands properly.

We have had the same bug in our house and Indi had it for two weeks and my husband was laid up for two days with it ! My eldest daughter and me luckily escaped :)

I think it is a result of the SARS out break and they are being way too over the top !

Yes it`s some sort of stomach bug but Spain only needs the flimsiest or imagined excuse to cause maximum disruption to Gib. The top & bottom of it is Gib is a thorn in it`s side & they want sovereignty back pure & simple no other reason! Regardles that it was ceded for perpetuity & the agreement was & always will be that it remained the Gibraltarians right to sat whether they wished to go with Britain or Spain & they`ve always said they wish to remain British but hey, whats a few thousands folk who`ve lost wages & kids lost schooling & ill folks have suffered to the protection of Spain from some sort of stomach bug? :(
Sorry but the politicians just make me angry sometimes!
Lucy I went to see my family last yr & my elderly mum got enteritis along with a few other people living in building, I knew it was only time before I went down with it & I did after a couple of days cos if other peole with the bug haven`t washed their hands then the bugs will be passed on to anything the unwashed hands come into contact with, door handles/bedding/towels/clothing/crockery/etc etc the list is endless & you only have to touch something with the bug on it then it`s easy transfered to you, also the health of your immune system at the time.
Glad your familys over it now, bet it was nasty while it lasted tho!
