I have a pug bitch coming up to 18mnths old & would like at some point to breed a litter from her, can anybody tell me the best age to start breeding from.

sorry,don't know enough of this breed,can you call the breed club,they are your best bet,sandra.

about 2-3 years is best for a first litter. if a bitch is over five then i wouldnt recormend a first litter at that age!

saying that we once had a accidental mating with an 18 mth boxer bitch and she was the best mum out of all litters we have had sience then!

could be a coincedesne!

Pugs, in common with many toy breeds, are early maturing. Club recomendations is not till season after 18 months old.
