When those of you with existing dogs bring in a new puppy, how do you protect it from infections which they might bring into the house when they're out on walks, etc? Given that they can't take their shoes off......:) :) :)

To be completely honest, I take no precautions at all. The pup, while tiny, still has a lot of its mum's antibodies, then the jabs start to take over. My adults are all up to date with their jabs - the rest has to be down to luck.

I've never had a pup catch anything yet.
