My 11month Border Collie Billy, lives with me , my hubby and grown up son, we adore him but have a Major problem!! as soon as I walk out of the room he races up to my hubby to nip him (or my son) if i am in the room and they walk out he will chase them to round up and nip! he does this even if he has a new bone, or playing a game, I have taken him clicker training and the main advice I have been given is to get my hubby to feed and walk him and to give him commands - but dispite this he still does it, its rather serious as my hubby has some very nasty bruises and billy has nipped him in some very painful places-- Help!!!!!

I'mm afraid i can't help, but my Border collie does a similar version of this behaviour, except it is associated with food. If she thinks its feeding time she will run up to the nearest person and try to nip them. Sometimes if my dad picks up an empty plate thats in the living room she will run up to him and nip him. Weird.

I think this is trouble with keeping Border collies as pets, especially if they are from working stock. Every BC I know has these funny quirks, (this will open a can of worms!!)
Get a copy of "Understanding the Border collie" by Carol Price.
It does go into this chasing and the mentality behind it :)
