hi - i am about to buy a puppy who was taken away from Mum @ 6 wks - as Mum is being shown. WIll this affect the puppy

Probably not, just invest in good training classes once puppy has had the full course or inocculations.

I've had dogs before who at 3 weeks want nothing to do with their pups although I have made them feed them for another week. Not all bitches want their pup's for 6 or 7 weeks.

I had a puppy from six weeks and she was absolutely fine. The litter had been separated from the mum by then anyway because she had 13 pups and they were biting her while suckling and making her bleed.

Just make sure you invest a lot of time in socialising her. Carry her around a lot and introduce her to lots of people and once shes had her injections to lots of dogs and surroundings and you'll have no probs
