Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Fabric crates - secure ?
- By guest [gb] Date 28.10.03 22:23 UTC
I have looked at the pics of the Light n' Easy dog crates on the Stock Nutrition site. They seem ideal for my purpose ie in the car, on holiday, visiting relatives. Would one be strong and secure enough for an adult cavalier who is crate trained (wire mesh crate) to be left in? She is in a 24x19.5x22 inch wire crate - would a similar size fabric crate be OK ? Are there any other lightweight alternatives ?
Thank you.

I use a fabric pet crate from here for my cavaliers in the car as long as your dog is used to being crated they are ok

We use a "dog bag" in the car for our labrador with great success. They're available at a competitive price from "Pets at Home".

Re, these fabric cages, has any one used them for a puppy (was thinking of getting one for use in the car while the pup is small) would it be resistant to chewing?

Thanks Cavvy, will need to pay out for 2 crates then! Don't think my other two could squeeze around the regular one! :D
