We are getting a smooth border collie puppy and we are going to see the new litter, that were born on 21st Oct.,at the breeders invitation this weekend.
Although I'm excited to see them so soon,do you think it is too early to make a decision on which one I would think is the right one for us?and do you think if the breeder asks for a deposit I should give her one, before the pups are hearing tested etc? I think maybe to see them again at around 6-7weeks would be wiser to make our choice,as they will have developed their own little characters by then? We hope to be able to take the puppy home at around 8-10weeks.Is it usual to see pups so early? What do other breeders recommend as a suitable time scale etc?

at around 4 weeks normally potential puppy owners can come and see the litter, only close friends and family before then, --at 4 weeks if they like what they see and still want a puppy, then i ask for a deposit, ---id not have people here when theyre as young as the ones your looking at.

It is much to early, you could take any infection in there is no way i would let people in to see my pups at that age, and it could up set mum, any way they look nothing at this age so you dont know what it will be like at 6/7 weeks but it's up to you best of luck.
