Hello. Athos went to the Hospital yesterday and the vet said he is 2kg heavier! She, the vet, thinks Athos is still fine and not in pain. There was 20ml and 30ml of fluid taken from his lungs, not too bad considering it was 1L before. I asked about his damaged lungs but because it was agreed he probably had it since birth Athos doesn't know any better, he is not in any more discomfort(but not in pain, she reckons) than before his diagnosis and at the moment he is happy and eating a lot so he shouldn't be PTS. Athos is on another kind of medication and still taking multi vitamins and ruttin, plus RY-C(ruttin & vit C) and horse chestnut extract. I said to the vet I am sure Athos is "hanging in there" because I changed his diet to raw meat. The vet actually agreed, although she doesn't recommend it!
Anyway, it looks like Athos will see another Christmas, we hope.

I agree raw is best for bullies ,Christine Spain and i started the barf at same time and we agree our dogs are much more relaxed and happy on raw

so glad Athos is doing well. I have had a bad weekend, i lost my beloved Chester on Saturday. Still can't quite get my head around the fact that he is no longer here, his poor brother Alifie is totally lost they had never been apart. Make the most of Athos and give him a kiss from me.

Hello, Karen, Oh my gosh, that is terrible news, I don't know what say, I cannot put in words, this is so very sad, I am really sorry and can't imagine how you are feeling, and poor Alifie...
Thank you for asking about Athos, he is hangin in there, we took him to the vet again last Friday and he put on 300g and there wasn't any fluid around his chest.
