How do you all look after your dogs teeth to keep them healthy, and how did you manage to let your pooch inspect their pearly whites, and keep all your fingers intact.
We are getting our first dog tomorrow and the only thing i'm unsure of is the cleaning of those ever so big / sharp fangs, thanks...

Are you getting a puppy? Start from day 1, when you do your daily handling of pup's feet, head, tail, tummy etc. Gently lift his/her lips and quickly wipe your fingers over the teeth, saying "teeth" while you do it. If this is done every day, the pup will grow up knowing this is a normal part of life (the breeder may well have been doing this already).

If you feed raw the teeth will never need cleaning and remain white and tartar free! :)
