I have had Tibetan Mastiff 's for the last 16 years and the top winning tibetan mastiff bitch for many years she got reserve best bitch at crufts when she was 10 month and did it again at 10 years, many best bitch in breeds at crufts and also best in show at the club show also taking best rare breeds and best of breed at one show we were very proud of her sadly we lost her last year at the age 12 year her mother died resently at the age of 14 I f you want to be put in touch with the Club email me address in my profile. I have photo's if you want to have a look and can send you literature if you require it. They are a fantastic breed but not easy to train as they are very strong willed, they are exellent with children being know as the Guardians of Tibet, when the men folk were away on trail the children were the responsablity to feed the dogs which were mainly tethered. There was one main bitch that came to this country brought in from Napal by Wendy Connect and a litter came from france some went on to be exported. A tibetan mastifd was given to Royalty and it was kept at london zoo unfortunately it did not live very long ,they have a beautifull nature but they are very independant and are more cat like it nature,if you get the right lines there temprement is great if you are looking to buy make sure the parents are hip score and the grandparents as there are some bitches with very high hip score that are being bred form, eye testing is desirable as to my knowledge there have been 2 bitchs that have had problems one that I brought in from France that went blind at 7 years old she was never bred from but nearly all that dogs that a bred now have had no trouble, sorry can go on forever my main breed for over many years if you want many more info please contact me and I can put you in touch with the club and many other knowledgable people This breed only come into season once a year mainly between october to december so there are limited pups available and you would have to go onto a breeder list
