Toby has always been quite good at night, so we let him sleep in our room, he was fine, then as some of you may remember, he started jumping on the bed in the night, we stopped that by putting him of the bed each time and he soon got the message, now for the last week he has started nudging us awake (between 4/4.30am) he isnt bothered about going out for wee he just wants attention, for the last 3 days everytime he nudged us awake (and i mean us first he wakes me up then he goes round to wake hubby up) i take him out for a wee, and put him on his blanket and ignore him, but last night he started crying, talk about making you feel bad :-(
any ideas,
Heidi

Earplugs? Give him a chew to keep him quietly occupied if he wakes? Hes upping the stakes to get attention at night and it will get worse before it stops but when it gets worse its a sign youve nearly cracked it.Does he really need to pee at night - I forget how old Toby is - as this attention might be causing him to seek more by whimpering so ear plugs to help you sleep.

Toby is nearly 8 months now, and no he does not need a wee at night, the little devil :-D

Well, there is always the alternative. Give in and enjoy the company of another warm body in your bed. :-)
