I took my lab out today to the park..now bearing in mind he is a lab and just will not give up..he plays and plays all the time! He was playing without about 5 dogs but when I took him home, he started wobbling a bit and was panting quite hard. I think it may have been a bit of exhaustion and dehydration but not sure????

How old is the dog?

I've just replied to your other post where you said he is so calm and quiet!!

It's good for a dog to play with others and yes, Labs do throw themselves into everything that do, but don't allow it to get out of hand. A little control goes a long way and training the control when he is getting over the top is just a continuation of the training. This time of year when the temprature is not as high as in the summer is not quite the risk that it is in the height of summer. In the really high tempratures last summer it could be a killer!

Regards, John
