Many many months I ago, I posted on the board with concerns for my best friend, but since then things went from bad to worse and just over 4 months ago, I lost her and my life as you will all appreciate came to a stand still. But after much deliberation I have a new friend who has joined our pack. His name is Oscar he's a black lab and he's an absolute star. Nine weeks today and doing just fine. Really pleased with him not just because he's Oscar!!! loving, clever, mad, crazy, full of life but because my life has started again, I feel so much happier, more life, energy ( which I know I'm gonna need) and although I know I'll never have as good a friend in Oscar as my Bon, but I will have a new friend and I'm sure a good friend, that's enough to make me smile again!!!.

I also wanted to say thanks to all who post I'm not one for posting but its great to come on and have a look through.

Hi Mel congratulations on your new friend. I too lost my best friend in March and life is hard without her. But a new little black lab pup has now joined our family and is making her own place in our hearts as I am sure yours is.

Congratulations and best of luck with Oscar. I am new to this dog owning business, and totally bowled over by it - the only regret I have is that I missed out on this for 37 years!
