Can anyone help I am at my wits end. My little girl is with this so called friend on breeding terms I now want to end this aggreement I have offered to pay her the money back but she now refuses to let me have my girl back.On the K.C reg she is in both names but we also had a written agreement. On the agreement it say's if I should want to end this aggreement that I should pay no more than she did for her. Please help if you can. What do I do now.

See someone who can let you know if your agreement holds water, then if it does get ready for a long and expensive fight to get the dog back. Even then you may fail, would trying to recover your relationship with this ex-friend be a better bet. In this sort of disagreement everyone gets hurt and no one wins, and the poor bitch is in the middle of it all. Would the person who has the bitch be prepared to buy out your interest in the bitch if you can't reach agreement on that.

To be honest for anyone to give real advice we would really need to know the whole picture,

The full contract, reasons for termination of agreement etc as it is not cut and dry in the legal world. Do the reasons meet the contract termination agreeable/listed reasons etc.

Not sure if all the info would be best put on a message board, you can call citizens advice for some advice and ask for a free appointment with a Lawyer, at the end of the day it all comes at a cost.

Although "WE" draft contracts this does not mean they are fair and equitable , they have to be in the eyes of the law for them to be upheld.

Don't think I have been much help.

I know it doesn't help but it seems to be a sad fact that a good many of these agreements end up with acrimony between the parties. I do sometimes wonder why people get involved in them. The legal costs of sorting them out often turn out to be well in excess of the fiscal value of the bitch or litter. I would agree that the CAB is your best bet they are a really helpful and very supportive organisation.
